Cadance Collective shares the stage with Danceworks Performance Company for the Friday night performance of "Women Who Dance".
"Danceworks Performance Company shares the stage with other inspiring, eclectic dancing women from the Milwaukee community. Sarah Wilbur, founding Artistic Director of Danceworks Performance Company, returns to the city to remount Disclosure Tactics, a dance for herself and 19 women, that asks the question – why do we dance? Another force to be reckoned with, the vibrant women of Panadanza will perform dances of Latin America and lead a Brazilian Samba lesson! Women and men alike – let’s celebrate the Women Who Dance!"
Cadance Collective presents "Egress", in collaboration with Two 2 Duet and filmmaker Josh Halverson. Christal Wagner and Gina Laurenzi (Two 2 Duet) explore the relationship between performers onstage and their collaborators’ medium. This nearly hour long performance will be woven together by a series of dance solos and duets that respond to the auditory experience, the visual experience, or simply one another’s movement invention. Through movement, poetry, music, original composition and visual art, they explore the idea of the duet.

Historic Milwaukee's Doors Open program is a two-day event held every September which invites the public to explore Milwaukee's art, architecture, culture and history. In collaboration with Access Contemporary Music, Cadance Collective musicians Emma Koi and Alicia Storin will perform an original composition for flute and cello written by Linda Ostrander, at the ASQ Center in downtown Milwaukee.
Cadance Collective is performing in the inaugural Milwaukee Fringe Fest, creating a piece based on a Milwaukee soundscape. The piece will be performed in the Todd Wehr Theater, inside the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. For tickets and more info, go to mkefringe.com
Cadance Collective presents "Jitterbug Suite: A Memory" in collaboration with Danceworks Performance Company. This work was originally commissioned by the Shorewood Senior Resource Center in August 2015. Cadance Collective interviewed 4 seniors of the Shorewood Senior Resource Center on their memories of the Eagles Ballroom as it existed in the 1940's and 50's. Thank you to SSRC Director Elizabeth Price for her support and help arranging these interviews.
Cadance Collective performs original choreography set to the Sarabande from J.S. Bach's Cello Suite no. 4. This performance is part of a church service honoring All Saints Day at the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay.

Includes guest artist Janet Lilly’s piece, Requiem, set on Danceworks Performance Company with additional UWM alumni. Requiem is Janet’s tribute to beloved late choreographer, dancer and UWM professor Ed Burgess.

As part of the Cedarburg Cultural Center's "Throwback Thursdays" Series, Cadance Collective will be presenting a full concert of original works of music and dance.
The program includes a visual interpretation of the Prelude from J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 2 and the premier of a new work created especially for this event, "Tidal". Also on the program, our signature piece, "Um, ok...now let's move on", and "Aeriform", our very first collaboration.
